Polish economic analysts have predicted that interest rates are set to rise further by the end of the year.

According to TVN24, financial service firms JP Morgan and Credit Suisse state that rates look likely to reach 4.5 percent by the end of 2011, half a percent more than their current figure.

A report released by the Monetary Policy Council this week claims that while rates look set to increase, the “risk of an economic slowdown in Poland has decreased”.

“The effects of high fiscal imbalances in several developed economies as well as strong monetary expansion by major central banks continue to add uncertainty about the global economic outlook,” claims the report.
