Warsaw’s Wschodnia station is still a long way off completion
Preparations for the 2012 European football championship are way behind schedule and organisers will struggle to get everything ready in time, a new study has revealed.
Four years after UEFA selected Poland and Ukraine to host Euro 2012, all four of the Polish host cities are in a race against time to get themselves ready for the biggest sporting tournament Poland has ever hosted, the television network TVN discovered.
Michal Listkiewicz, co-ordinator of Poland’s efforts to get everything ready in time, conceded that “while a lot has been organised, more needs to be done” during an interview with the TVN24 news channel.
