The upcoming beatification looks set to be celebrated in style
A brewery in the Czech Republic has found a unique way to celebrate the beatification of Polish Pope John Paul II - by sending the Vatican a batch of special edition beers.
A small consignment of the ale, produced in the the world-famous Pilsner Urquell brewery in the city of Plzen, is to be sent to Rome’s ‘GP2’ Catholic pub, while the rest will be sent to the Vatican where guests and dignitaries can enjoy the beer at the ceremonies surrounding the grand event in May. ...
