Former MP Avoids Prosecution

Despite his promises, Piotr Misztal, a former Samoobrona MP sought by Krakow prosecutors in connection with suspected large-scale tax fraud, failed yet again to return from the United States for questioning on Dec. 29. Prosecutors believe Misztal headed a gang that engaged in VAT fraud.
