Eight ex-policemen from Swidnica were found guilty this week of drug smuggling, burglary, accepting bribes, betraying police secrets and collaborating with local gangsters who paid them ‘in kind’ with prostitute services. The eight were sentenced in Swidnica Regional Court to prison terms ranging from a year and four months to six years. The defendants have already declared they will appeal the verdicts.
