The new documents will pave the way for Polish same-sex couples to enter into a civil partnership abroad
Plans are under way to introduced new certificates making it easier for same-sex couples to marry abroad.
At present, Polish couples wishing to enter marriage outside the country require a certificate which names the spouses meaning it can be easily denied by the registrar.
However, according to daily Gazeta Wyborcza the new documents will not require the couple naming names, making it simpler for same-sex couples to enter into partnership.
“Work is currently underway and we will be issuing the certificate without the section where a person must enter details about their future spouse,” Minister of Interior spokesperson Malgorzata Wozniak told the paper. ...
