Despite the cup success Legia manager Maciej Skorza is on thin ice
In possibly the most irrelevant result of the year, Legia Warszawa won the Polish Cup, beating Lech Poznan on penalties in a match that will only be remembered for the hooligan excesses that followed. On the pitch, the spectacle was fairly forgettable, the two floundering teams delivering a 1-1 draw over 120 minutes. It says everything about the season the teams are enduring that it’s highly likely neither manager – Bakero or Skorza, will be in their current jobs at the start of next season.
