The stolen goods were stashed in the family grave
Two men have been arrested after stealing PLN 3,000 worth of beer, sausages and cigarettes and hiding the goods in a family grave.
According to daily Fakt, 59-year-old Krzystof D. and his 35-year-old son Leon D., from the south-east village of Zyznowa, broke into a local shop and made off with a collection of booze, fags and meat in the early hours of the morning.
Looking for a place to store their loot, the two men decided to hide it in the tomb of Leon’s late father believing it would be a safe location.
However authorities were able to track down the thieves the following day after watching CCTV footage and tracing them back to the cemetery where they had stashed their haul.
