Investment in top-class hotels are expected soon
Experts in the hotel industry are predicting a rapid increase in luxury hotels due to a combination of the upcoming EURO 2012 tournament and Poland’s EU Presidency.
At present there are an estimated 2,000 hotels around the country with just over 2 percent boasting 5-stars. That’s a figure approximately five times less than most western European nations.
According to reports by Polskie Radio, the Polish Tourist Office has budgeted an estimated PLN 50 mln for promotion, with business travellers being the main target of the upcoming campaigns.
