The son of an Auschwitz survivor has revealed how his father stated there are buckets of gold and treasure buried in the grounds of the former death camp.

According to daily Fakt, former prisoner Jozef Pilch shared the secret with his son in 1996 two weeks before he passed away, confiding in him that he had witnessed the burial of the loot with his own eyes.

“He told me this years and years ago but I remember it like it was only yesterday,” 62-year-old Zbigniew Pilch from Krakow told the newspaper. “It was a weak voice whispered into my ear, just a few words about the buried treasure, like a last will or a final testament.”
