Second hand car market thrives

The high number of second hand car sales does not spell good news for the automobile industry
A new report states that last year only 8 percent of cars purchased in Poland were brand new.
The study, carried out by research agency TNS OBOP, found that out of all the automobiles bought in 2010, 92 percent were purchased from second hand dealers or independently, for example through second hand websites.
It also showed that at least half (55 percent) the cars bought were over 10-years-old and the average price paid was as little as PLN 12,400.
