Authorities found over 2,500 cannabis plants
Police have arrested a 67-year-old man after discovering over two and a half thousand cannabis plants growing on his land.
According to daily Gazeta Wyborcza, the man, whose identity has not been released, was producing the crops on a 12 acre piece of land in the southern village of Klimontow.
While precise details remain unclear, reports claim that in addition to the crops in the fields, authorities uncovered 100 kilograms of dried marijuana, 40 kilograms of poppy straw (which can be processed to make heroin) and six barrels full of what has been described as an “unknown liquid”.
