Champions Wisla are taking nothing for granted
Wisla Krakow face a slightly easier task in qualification for the league stages of the Champions League, following the news that the Polish champions would be seeded in the second and third qualification rounds. However, given recent slip ups by Wisla against such supposed minnows as Levadia Tallinn or Karabakh Agdam, the White Star are taking nothing for granted.
Tomas Jirsak, who played in both those games, told Przeglad Sportowy, “We had a long winter break, so there’s no problem now. We need to work hard, because in previous years, we’ve not been on top form in July. All the new players at Wisla have heard about Levadia and Karabakh, and the coaches know what they’re about.” ...
