The future of the A2 motorway construction project became shrouded in confusion and doubt after the government terminated the contract with the Chinese firm tasked with building the vital road.Frustrated with stalled talks over resumption of work on two stretches of the Berlin-Warsaw motorway totalling 50 kilometres the government decided enough was enough.
“We have taken the decision today to terminate this agreement,” said Andrzej Maciejewski, deputy CEO of the General Directorate of National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA).
