The PM is trying to persuade the public to buy more fresh goods
The PM this week tried to persuade Polish citizens to forget about E.coli by insisting that fresh fruit and veg were served up at an official meeting.According to TVN24, PM Donald Tusk, President Bronislaw Komorowski and other politicians tucked into plates of carrots, radishes and apples instead of the usual selection of cakes and biscuits.
“I said that during such important presidential meetings, fruit and vegetables were to be made available instead of the usual snacks,” said Mr Tusk.
Last week it was reported that Polish farmers were losing up to PLN 10 mln a day as a direct result of the E. coli outbreak.
