Uprising Letters Up For Sale6th February 2008
An auction house in Düsseldorf has put up a collection of letters and postmarks from the 1944 Warsaw Uprising, and Polish authorities are scrambling to raise money to buy the priceless artefacts. The Ulrich Felzmann auction house has not released the seller’s identity, but has provided the Warsaw Uprising Museum detailed photographs of the items being offered.
