Father Rydzyk's statements have caused an uproar
Controversial priest Father Tadeusz Rydzyk has caused an uproar by stating that Poland is an “uncivilised and totalitarian-run state”.
According to news site TVN24, the 66-year-old founder of controversial station Radio Maryja made the comments at a recent European Parliament conference, adding that that the country “wasn’t even run by Poles”.
Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski has already hit out at the speech, announcing that Poland will not let the comments pass.
