Bialystok’s zoo has come in for severe criticism on the Misja 21 blogs
Gazeta Wyborcza’s Misja 21, a project which involves foreign journalism students visiting Poland’s 21 biggest cities to determine whether the country is ready or not to host EURO 2012, is nearing its completion.
The main aim of the project is for the students, most of whom cannot speak Polish and have had no contact with Poland in the past, to give a fresh and unbiased perspective on the country in the lead up to one of the world’s biggest football tournaments.
One of the recent blogs by ‘Camsie’ focuses on Bialystok’s zoo, describing it as a “concentration camp for animals” where residents are turning a blind eye to the goings on rather than pushing for change.
