Poland ranks as one of the worst EU nations when it comes to paying invoices
A recent report printed in daily Rzeczpospolita found that with regards to settling invoices on time, firms in Poland are the second worst in Europe.
The statistics, released by Dun & Bradstreet Poland, reveal that when it comes to putting off payments for more that 120 days, Poland sat extremely high with 7.9 percent, compared to the European average of 1.7 percent.
It also found that throughout Europe, as few as 40 percent of invoices were actually paid on time with the three best at paying being Switzerland (68.2 percent), Germany (60.5 percent) and the Netherlands (54.6 percent). The two worst offenders in this category were Portugal and the United Kingdom.
