A Baltic coast man ran away from a hospital operating table this week as surgeons tried to remove bolts he had swallowed in order to evade military service.

A Baltic coast man ran away from a hospital operating table this week as surgeons tried to remove bolts he had swallowed in order to evade military service. According to media reports, the man turned up at the army base where he was supposed to serve, saying that he did not want to do his time and had swallowed the bolts on the advice of friends, who said it was the best way to get out of national service. He was taken to hospital but ran away after doctors said they would have to operate to remove the bolts, which showed up on an x-ray. ...
