Doctors have stated that Jaruzelski is too ill to stand trial
General Wojciech Jaruzelski has been declared too sick to take part in trials regarding alleged war crimes.
According to Polski Radio, the 87-year-old former communist leader has been told by doctors that due to health reasons, he is in no fit state to stand trial.
Two of the cases he is standing trial for are for declaring Martial Law in 1981 and allegedly firing live ammo at protesters in Gdynia in 1970 - an accusation which he fiercely denies.
It was announced that the general had been diagnosed with cancer in March and the trials have been halted and moved on a number of occasions due to his declining health. ...
