There are serious doubts over whether the PGE Arena will be finished in time
Gdansk’s spanking brand new PGE Arena stadium is a danger to spectators and players alike and may not be ready in time for the new season and the Poland-Germany friendly on August 6, after a fire service inspection revealed a whole raft of failings.
“Everyone’s putting a brave face on it. For now, we’re concerned that the deadlines won’t be met again. The faults in the stadium aren’t just a faulty water hydrant or a missing extinguisher, they’re much more serious matters,” commented a representative of Lechia Gdansk, who are to play their league matches at the stadium.
