Krzysztof B. has been sentenced to 12 years behind bars
The supreme court upheld a 12-year gaol sentence handed down to a man convicted of fathering two children with his daughter. The ruling means that the man Krzysztof B., known as the Polish Fritzl owing to similarities with the notorious case of Austrian Josef Fritzl, will have to serve out his sentence.
Krzysztof B. had subjected his daughter to years of physical and sexual abuse from when she turned 13 in 2003 till his arrest in 2008. After his first trial he was sentenced to 10 years, but this was later extended to 12 on appeal. But after his daughter withdrew some abuse allegations the convict had appealed against his conviction, but the supreme court rejected his appeal.
