The officer was rescued by the brothers
Two brothers came to the aid of a policeman who was being beaten by a drunk this week. The brothers, Sebastian and Lukasz Szczepanik, saw the officer being attacked by a bigger and stronger man as they drove home.
Despite being surrounded by a group of onlookers nobody had gone to the policeman’s defence until the brothers arrived. First they tried honking the car’s horn but when that failed to work they took direct physical action, pushing their way through the crowd to apprehend the assailant.
“I think anyone would have done the same,” said Sebastian. “Today a policeman was attacked, tomorrow it could be me, and if no one responds then it could end in tragedy.” ...
