Jaroslaw Kaczynski's PiS party is slowly catching rivals PO
With the general elections fast approaching, current leaders Civic Platform (PO) are still sitting in the driving seat with 47 percent of the public’s backing according to a new survey.
However the report, carried out by GfK Polonia, states that main rivals Law and Justice (PiS) are slowly gaining ground with 30 percent - 3 percent up on the last calculations.
Grzegorz Napieralski’s Democratic Left Alliance (SLD) currently sits a long way behind with 11 percent backing, while the Polish People’s Party (PSL) claims just 5 percent.
The remaining support is spread out amongst various other parties such as Poland is the Most Important (PJN) and The Women’s Party (PK). ...
