Wisla are one step closer to the Champions League after beating Litex Lovech
Wisla Krakow took a giant step towards the Holy Grail of the Champions League this Tuesday, defeating a feisty Litex Lovech side 2-1 in their own backyard. The game was free-flowing, sloppy and occasionally fractious, both sides getting involved in some late tackles and handbags flew just before the final whistle. But in Maor Meliksson, Wisla had the ace card.
The game started well for the Cracovians, Sobolewski putting Lamey through to loop over the keeper, but just before half-time the Wisla defence went to sleep, allowing Litex’s Brazilian player Tom way too much space in the box.
