The PM has sacked 13 people since the Miller Report
Three air-force generals and 10 other senior officers were sacked as heads continued to roll in the wake of the Miller report into the Smolensk air disaster.
Speaking at a press conference on Thursday, defence minister Tomasz Siemoniak said the government was reacting quickly to the report that listed a series of damning failings in air force procedures and training that contributed to the disaster.
He also announced that 36 Squadron, the unit responsible for government and presidential flights, would be disbanded.
“We are committed to implementing as quickly and painlessly as possible the recommendations made in the Miller report,” he told reporters.
