Police arrested one man after discovering a gun in his garden
Two children were shot this week in separate incidents in the north west of Poland.
The first case involved a nine-year-old girl from the town of Lobez (Zachodniopomorskie region) who was shot in the neck while playing in the back yard.
According to news site TVN24, after the incident the girl was taken to her parents by a 50-year-old neighbour who claimed to be the only witness to the event. She was then rushed immediately to hospital to have the bullet removed.
However after finding a gun in his garden, police have since arrested the 50-year-old man who has admitted his guilt, claiming he was simply “shooting at rats”.
