Those injured were on their way to the Jasna Gora Monastery in Czestochowa
Eleven people were injured this week when a car drove into a group of pilgrims in the south of Poland.
Reports state that the accident occurred in the small village of Dolna while the group were making their way to the Jasna Gora Monastery in Czestochowa - August being a month which witnesses over 250,000 descend upon the holy city from all across the country.
In total, 11 people were taken to hospital, three suffering serious injuries, the rest from bruises and shock.
Marzena Grzegorczyk, a spokesperson for Opole police, told TVN that the 59-year-old driver was not under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident. ...
