The train had just left Poznan station before the accident occurred
A teenager is in a critical condition after leaning out of a travelling train window and hitting his head on a sign next to the tracks.
According to Gazeta Wyborcza, the 18-year-old was making his way to the Przystanek Woodstock festival with a group of friends when the accident occurred.
“His friends immediately stopped the train and the man was taken to hospital in an ambulance,” said Andrzej Borowiak, a spokesman for Wielkopolska police. “The incident occurred shortly after the train left Poznan station and at present we still don’t know exactly why he leaned out the window.”
Mr Borowiak added that the man was not under the influence of alcohol. ...
