Despite the E. coli scare food exports are up on last year
New statistics show that Poland’s food exports are up compared with the same time last year, despite the recent E. coli-based fruit and vegetable dispute with neighbours Russia.
According to Dziennik Gazeta Prawna, analysts have estimated that Polish food producers will have sent approximately PLN 58.5 bln worth of food to foreign countries by the end of the year.
At present, the amount of food send abroad is already 15.6 percent up compared with the same time in 2010.
The paper states that increased food prices around the globe will contribute towards Poland seeing a higher return in profits.
