Former deputy prime minster and Self Defence leader Andrzej Lepper was found dead in his Warsaw office last week after having committed suicide.
Party colleagues found the 57-year-old former Self Defence (Samoobrona) leader hanging in his office and according to Dariusz Speokira, spokesman for the Warsaw region prosecutor’s office, the politician had used a cord from a punch bag as a noose.
An autopsy found no other injuries and police and prosecutors ruled out any third party being involved in his death. But prosecutors said they would launch an investigation to see if anybody had played a role in making him commit suicide.
