The fans celebrate Poland's 'hard fought win'

Poland secured a hard fought 1-0 win over Georgia in Lubin’s Dialog Arena this Wednesday night. The only goal was scored by captain for the night, Kuba Blaszczykowski, following a neat one-two with Robert Lewandowski. While the result will be pleasing to manager Franciszek Smuda, the fact that Arsenal keeper Wojciech Szczesny had to make several key interventions will focus his mind even harder on the matter of defence, ahead of the upcoming ties against Mexico and Germany. Similar defensive lapses against strikers of the quality of Manchester United’s Hernandez will cost the side dearly.
