Gas prices have fallen below PLN 5 per liter
Two of Poland’s largest petrol giants lowered their prices this week to below PLN 5 per liter.
According to TVN24, PKN Orlen reduced the price of its EuroSuper95 to PLN 4.99 with main rival, and the second largest player on the market, Lotos following suit.
The report states that the cuts would not have been possible but for the declining price of crude oil around the globe, which, according to executive director of sales and retail at PKN Orlen Marek Podstawa, has witnessed a seven percent drop since the middle of July this year.
“These new reduced prices that we have just introduced are also an excellent opportunity to reduce our extremely high levels of stock,” he said.
