Adam Hofman has refused to apologise for his comments
Law and Justice suffered an embarrassing blow to its election campaign after one of the party’s leading lights described “peasants” as “savage and dumfounded”.
Adam Hofman, spokesman and MP for the main opposition party, made the gaff live on television when commenting on a campaign video by the Polish People’s Party (PSL).
“With the PSL, the situation is that these peasants left their little towns and the countryside, and made it to Warsaw,” he said during an interview with TVN24 regarding the party’s new election video.
