Two Polish soldiers were killed and one wounded on Tuesday in a land- mine explosion in Afghanistan ’s south- eastern Paktika province, the Defence Ministry said this week.

The soldiers’ humvee, travelling in convoy, ran over the improvised explosive on their way back from an aid mission.
“As a result of the explosion, two Polish soldiers were killed,” the ministry said. “A wounded soldier, after first aid, was evacuated to a hospital in the town of Orgun. According to doctors, his life is not in danger.” P ...
