Agnieszka Radwanska is now out of the tournament
Agnieszka Radwanska flopped out of the US Open in the second round against the German Angelique Kerber. The world number 13 went down in three sets against a player whose highest ranking was 45 in January this year. In the first round Radwanska eliminated her younger sister, who had reached the tournament via the qualifiers.
Radwanska, sporting a pink dress, began reasonably, sharing the first four games, then flopped to lose the first set 3-6. Twenty unforced errors by Kerber in the second set put Radwanska back in contention as she won 6-4, but in the final set her uneven play saw her lose out 3-6.
