Gdansk's PGE Arena was officially opened with a great game
Poland clutched a draw from the jaws of victory this Tuesday night in the PGE Arena, surrendering the lead with seconds remaining.A slip in the box by Wawrzyniak deep into injury time allowed Cacau to equalise for Germany with virtually the last kick of the match to break Polish hearts.
The 2-2 draw in an entertaining match was a good result against one of the best teams in world football – albeit missing their biggest star Mesut Ozil and other stalwarts such as Bastian Schweinsteiger. It was still a strong German team, though, and they weren’t going to let their unbeaten record against the Poles slip, as events showed.
