Poland clutched a draw from the jaws of victory this Tuesday night in the PGE Arena, surrendering the lead with seconds remaining.

A slip in the box by Wawrzyniak deep into injury time allowed Cacau to equalise for Germany with virtually the last kick of the match to break Polish hearts.

The 2-2 draw in an entertaining match was a good result against one of the best teams in world football – albeit missing their biggest star Mesut Ozil and other stalwarts such as Bastian Schweinsteiger. It was still a strong German team, though, and they weren’t going to let their unbeaten record against the Poles slip, as events showed.
