Wikileaks claims US considered Foreign Minister Anna Fotyga a 'Long term confidante with little foreign experience.'
The political double act of Lech and Jaroslaw Kaczynski damaged Polish foreign policy, according to US documents leaked by the whistle-blowing website Wikileaks.
Dating from 2006, a time when the twins were president and prime minister, the cables paint a less than complimentary picture of foreign policy, accusing the Kaczynskis of cronyism and undermining the effectiveness of the Polish foreign office.
“The Kaczynskis' inward-looking approach, desire to strengthen the presidency, and emphasis on loyalty over expertise have put increasing pressure on foreign policy professionals at the MFA (Ministry of Foreign Affairs),” the US cables said.
