It's estimated that five people were 'sold' to Germany
A Szczecin woman has been accused of trafficking girls as young as 16 to two brothels in Germany.
Prosecutors have charged the 27-year-old woman with human trafficking, benefitting from prostitution and soliciting minors for prostitution.
It is alleged that between 2005 and 2010 she sold five women between the ages of 16 and 26 into prostitution for thousands of euro. The accused also allegedly received a percentage of the women’s earning once she had returned to Poland.
In addition to this, police have issued six European arrest warrants, and said that three people linked to the case had been arrested in Germany.
