Leszek Miller has caused outrage with his recent comments
Former PM Leszek Miller has caused outrage from both politicians and the general public alike by suggesting that ugly candidates could potentially harm a party’s chances during the upcoming elections.
The comments were made during an interview on ‘Tomasz Lis na zywo’ earlier this week and, according to the Polish press, have caused something of a storm right across the country.
On the show, Mr Miller, leader of the Democratic Left Alliance (SLD) during its time in power from 2001-2004, stated that “unattractive female candidates can scare off voters” and has since been publicly criticised by a number of high ranking women.
