General Wojciech Jaruzelski is said to be in a stable condition
Former Communist leader General Wojciech Jaruzelski has been admitted to the Military Institute of Medicine with pneumonia, although his condition is believed to be stable.
According to reports on TVN24, the 88-year-old became infected as a side effect of the chemotherapy he is currently receiving in his battle against lymphangioma - which he was diagnosed with in March this year.
“The General was taken into the haematology clinic of the Military Medical Institute on September 15 due to complications with his treatment,” said Colonel Piotr Dabrowiecki, a spokesman for the Institute. ...
