PM Tusk claims that Poland will still benefit despite the split concessions
New investigations state that one in five concessions for the exploration of shale gas in this country is owned by a Russian firm.
According to TVN24, the current set up of concessions could have negative effects on Polish companies as the split makes it easier to block deals and allows Russia an easier footing in exporting gas to EU countries.
Dziennik Gazeta Prawna also claims that there is little way of telling if a foreign firm is attempting to block or slow down work on extractions for their own interests.
