Smuda once again faces tough decisions
Franciszek Smuda’s preparations for Euro 2012 were thrown up in the air this week by news that Wisla Krakow star Maor Melikson was interested in representing Poland. Polish FA (PZPN) boss Grzegorz Lato posted a message on the PZPN website that read, “Maor has stated his clear desire to play for Poland. His call-up to the national side is clearly only a matter of time.”
But by Thursday, Melikson had changed his mind, announcing on the Wisla Krakow website, “At this moment, I’m not ready to play either for Israel or for Poland.”
