Residents in Rogow expressed their concerns to TVN
There have been a large number of reports in the news recently focusing on shale gas (see NPE 139) and this week TVN states that according to preliminary data, Poland currently has the largest deposits of shale gas in Europe.While it is no secret that the mining and sale of gas can bring many benefits and help to significantly change the country for the better, not everyone it seems is happy.
In a recent report, the station’s Superwizjer programme tells how residents in the southern village of Rogow fear for their health given the fact that a number of chemicals and substances are involved when extracting gas.
