Next year's budget has received criticism from certain quarters
This week saw the Ministry of Finance submit a draft for next year’s budget.
According to news site TVN24, the budget predicts an overall deficit of PLN 35 bln, with revenues calculated at PLN 292.8 bln and expenditure at PLN 327.8 bln.
It also states that total GDP growth throughout 2012 is set to reach 4 percent, while the average inflation rate is estimated to be approximately 2.8 percent.
The initial draft was first put forward in May this year, and no major changes have been made.
However the budget has been criticised in some quarters, with Democratic Left Alliance (SLD) leader Grzegorz Napieralski stating that it means nothing.
