There was good news for same-sex couples this week after it was announced that a petition regarding the issue of marriage permits was being looked at by the European Parliament.

The petition, submitted by the Campaign Against Homophobia (KPH), states that gay couples are discriminated against when it comes to obtaining documents from Polish officials they require if they wish to marry abroad.

Robert Biedron, one of the leading members of KPH, states that it is sometimes extremely difficult for people to acquire such papers, leaving many unable to enter an official partnership. ...
