Poland will once again be allowed to enter America’s ‘Green Card Lottery’ system for the first time in six years.

According to Fakt, 3,500 Poles will be able to apply for official residency in the US’s Diversity Immigrant Visa Program, between October 4 and November 5.

The law states that if less than 50,000 people from one country go to the States during a five-year timescale, then that nation is allowed to enter the ‘lottery’.

“Because of the economic situation, America is not as attractive a destination as it once was,” says Zygmunt Matynia of Chicago’s Polish Consul. ...
