Janusz Palikot has already started to ruffle feathers

Janusz Palikot has already began antagonising his fellow MPs by stating the cross that hangs above the door in the Sejm should be removed.

His comments have already touched several nerves with PiS leader Jaroslaw Kaczynski saying, “The cross has to stay. It has always been there. It’s tradition and shouldn’t be taken down just because a few people with crazy beliefs say so.”

PM Tusk also spoke on the issue stating, “We cannot afford to have months of debate over such things ... Palikot starting off his parliamentary career with a ‘War of the Cross’ simply makes a mockery of his so-called ‘modern state’ that he talked about before elections.” ...
