Despite the 'blackout' Twitter fans used the site to talk about voting figures
Twitter users took advantage of the service’s clipped style to amusingly bypass the news blackout imposed across the country during voting. Breaking the news ban can cost up to PLN 1 mln.
Twitter followers, though, could read heavily veiled poll predictions, all of which appear to have underestimated the eventual result for PO. Some took the theme of vegetable prices informing that POtatoes cost 34.54 zloty, ColesLAW 29.91 zloty, Pork 11.08, RED tomatoes 10.57, GREEN peas 9, Horsemeat 3.
Another gave a bizarre recipe including PiStacja (Pistachios), POlewa (Icing), Sledziami (Herring), KaPSLami (bottle tops), PJaNka (foam) and something called CatBurner.
